Today on November 16th was the passing of Ferdie Pacheco best known as Muhammad Ali’s personal physician (cut-man) from 1962 to 1977.
Pacheco and his wife Luisita had four children and lived in Miami, FL. He was brought up in an immigrant community in Ybor City in Tampa, FL. He was also an artist and author. Along with this he was a television commentator-analyst for NBC, Univision and Showtime. He left as a corner man of Ali’s for the champion’s last four fights finding Ali was having kidney failure.
