MUHAMMAD ALI ARTIFACTS HIGHLIGHT STEINER SPORTS MEMORABILIA “FALL CLASSIC” AUCTION NOW THROUGH NOVEMBER 4
New York, September 23—Artifacts hand-signed by iconic Heavyweight Boxing Champion Muhammad Ali highlight the Steiner Sports Memorabilia (www.steinersports.com) on-line Fall Classic Auction, it was announced today by Steiner CEO and Founder Brandon Steiner. The auction will continue through November 4.
The Ali memorabilia is from the collection of best-selling author Jeffrey Gitomer, and includes an autographed canvas of Ali with the Olympic Torch painted by sports artistStephen Holland, inscribed Ali boxing gloves, one of which is signed, and a Cassius Clay autographed index card (pre-1964 before “The Greatest” changed his name to Ali).

A signed copy of No More Vietnams by Richard Nixon from college coaching immortal Bobby Knight’s book collection, and baseball’s signed on the “sweet spot” by Hall of FamersWalter Johnson, Joe DiMaggio and Honus Wagner are also in the Fall Classic Auction.
The Gitomer collection also features various items from the storied Philadelphia Phillies franchise, the 1957 Braves, football and basketball Hall of Famers, and 1939 baseball players, including World’s Fair cards signed by baseball legends Babe Ruth, Jimmie Fox, Joe DiMaggio, and Hank Greenberg.
Phillies memorabilia signed by such 1960 vintage players as Richie Ashburn, Mike Schmidt, Jim Bunning, and Johnny Callison are sure to attract attention from bidders.
For the basketball and football lover there is no shortage of classic, hand-signed Hall of Famers memorabilia. Lots include autographed artifacts signed by hoops legends John Wooden, Dolph Schayes, and Charles Barkley and grid iron greats Bart Starr, Jack Lambert, Roger Staubach, Jim Taylor, and Sam Huff.
