At the Mohegan Sun Casino, Uncasville, CT, Saturday, over Showtime TGB Promotions – Tom Brown, Salita Promotions – Dmitriy Salita and Billions Promotions – Ravone Littlejohn, presented heavyweight Otto Wallin defeated Dominic “Trouble” Breazeale and in the Main Event 4-division world champion Adrien “The Problem” Broner defeated Jovanie “El Lobito” Santiago.

Heavyweight southpaw Otto Wallin, 22-1 (14), #240 1/4, of Sundvsall, Sweden, now New York City, NY, easily defeated Olympian Dominic “Trouble” Breazeale, 20-3 (18), #261 1/4, of Alhambra, CA, over 10 rounds.

In the first four rounds Wallin had his way. In the fifth round a solid left from Wallin caused quite a bit of swelling of the right eye of Breazale by the end of the round. In the eighth round Breazale landed one of his best punches a right uppercut to the chin of Wallin. In the ninth round Breazale had his best round of the fight. The ring physician checked his eye at the end of the round.

In the twelfth and final round Breazale had his best round, too little too late. Referee was Johnny Callas.

Scores were 116-112, 117-111 and 118-110 as did this writer.      

Former IBF World Lightweight champion Robert Easter, Jr., 23-1-1 (14), #139 3/4, of Toledo, OH, defeated Ryan “Blue Chip” Martin, 24-2 (14) #139 1/2, of Chattanooga, TN, 10 rounds.

In the first three rounds Easter controlled with his jab while Martin worked the body. In the fourth Martin finally edged out a round. In the eighth round Easter received the first cut of his career in the corner of his left eyebrow losing the round. In the eleventh round a head butt on the chin from Martin just prior to the bell rocked Easter. In the twelfth and final round Easter in his second fight at 140 easily took another win. Referee was Harvey Dock.

Scores were 117-111 and 118-110 twice, with his writer the same.   

In the Main Event Welterweight former 4 Division world champion Adrien “The Problem” Broner, 34-4-1 (24), #146, of Cincinnati, OH, defeated Jovanie “El Lobito” Santiago, 14-1-1 (10), #145 1/4, of Dorado, PR, 10 rounds.

In the first four rounds it was close. In the fourth round Santiago lost a point from referee Arthur Mercante, Jr. for hitting after the bell. From that point on Broner did well through the eleventh round. In the twelfth and final round it was all Santiago.   

Scores were Feldman 115-112, Carusone 116-111 and Hary 117-110.  Showtime judge Steve Farhood had it 114-113 for Santiago. Fans at home had Santiago ahead in a close fight.

“I want to go home and look at the fight. I haven’t fought in 2 years. I felt my jab won me the fight. I knew the MF was going to be tough. I felt in the latter rounds I won the fight. I want to thank God for putting me back on this platform again. It’s a lot of work to get down to 140. I will talk to Al Haymon,” said Bronner.

“It was surprising. Adrien Bronner did a fine job in there. The decision could have gone both ways. We were in it to win this fight but didn’t get the decision. I think it was great and boxing fans know who I am now. I need to talk to my management team to see what’s next,” said Santiago.

Former WBA World Bantamweight champion southpaw Rau’shee Warren, 17-3 (4), of Cincinnati, OH, defeated Sharone “Smoke” Carter, 12-3 (3), of St. Louis, MO, 10 rounds.

Scores were 98-92 twice and 97-93.
