President of the NJB HOF Henry Hascup inducted fourteen new members into the New Jersey Hall of Fame for 2018. “Man of the Year” is former boxer and current referee Randy Neumann. There were over 500 in attendance including Brick City Boxing President Danny Serratelli, per Hascup.
Honorees included boxers Charles Boston, 13-4, of Trenton, Michael Covington, 23-3, of Trenton, former world IBF Featherweight champion Calvin “Silky” Groves, 49-10, of Coatesville, PA, Kendall Holt, 28-6, of Paterson and Kevin Watts, 23-7-1, of Pleasantville. Posthumously inducted were Tommy Dundee, 19-12-2, of Camden, and Frankie Leta, 39-14, of Irvington.
In the non-boxers inducted were Top Rank publicist Lee Samuels, Harvey Dock, Alan Rubenstein, Lenny DeJesus, Mustafa Ameen, Aaron Snowell and posthumously Joseph Rinaldi.
Others being honored were Senior Amateur Khalil Coe, Youth Amateur Vito Mielnicki, Junior Olympic Amateur Zahir Abdus-Salaam, Pro Boxer of the Year Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna, Amateur Official Rodney Price, and Coach of the Year Ahman Elliott.
1st Vice President is Steve Weisfeld, 2nd Vice President is Poochie Hill, Secretary is Stefani Belloise Pedone and Treasurer is Dennis Murphy, Sr.
