IBF Cruiser world champion Cuban Yuniel Dorticus lost a majority decision to the former WBC champion Mairis Briedis of Latvia at Plazamedia Broadcasting Center in Munich, Germany, over DAZN Saturday. It was a Sauerland Event – Wilfried Sauerland promotion.
In the Main Event IBF Cruiserweight World champion Cuban Yuniel “The KO Doctor” Dorticus, 24-2 (22), #199 ľ, of Miami, FL, lost by majority decision to former WBC champion Mairis Briedis, 27-1 (19), #198 ľ, of Riga, Latvia, 12 rounds winner of Muhammad Ali trophy.
In the eighth round Dorticus did well but Briedis came back to take the ninth though the twelfth rounds.
Scores were 114-114 and 117-111 twice with this writer 116-112.
“First of all thanks to my wife and fans back in Latvia and it feels like a dream,” by Briedis.
In the co-feature IBF Euro Int’l champ Denis Radovan, 14-0-1 (6), #158 ľ, of Cologne, Germany, shut out Robert Talarek, 24-14-3 (16), #159 ľ, of Ruda Slaska, Poland, over 10 rounds.

Super Middleweight Leon Bunn, 16-0 (8), #170, of Frankfurt, Germany, defeated Timo “Stadin Malli” Laine, 27-14 (11), #170 Ľ, of Helsinki, Finland, over 8 shut out rounds.
In the eighth and final round Bunn had Laine out on his feet.
