On Friday ShoBox will have two unbeaten lightweight boxers with Devin “The Dream” Haney, of Las Vegas, NV, in the main event taking on Xolisani “Novema the Wasp” Ndongeni, of Eastern Cape, South Africa, at the Stage Works in Shreveport, LA, over 10 rounds.
Haney, 20-0 (13), is No. 8 in the WBA, No. 10 in the IBF and No. 12 in the WBC while Ndongeni, 25-0 (13), is unranked. In Haney’s last fight in September he won the vacant IBF North American Lightweight title defeating Juan Carlos Burgos, 33-2-2, of Mexico, over 10 rounds. In August Ndongeni stopped Salimu Jengo, 10-1, of Tanzania, in the fifth round.
In the co-feature featherweight southpaw Ruben “RV4” Villa, 14-0 (5), of Salinas, CA, takes on Ruben Cervera, 10-0 (9), of Santa Marta, COL, over 8 rounds.
Cuban Heavyweight Frank Sanchez Faure, 10-0 (8), of Las Vegas, NV, is taking on southpaw Willie Jake “The Snake”, Jr., 8-1-1 (2), of Indianapolis, IND, over 8 rounds. Middleweight Dominic Wade, 18-1 (12), of Largo, MD, returns to action for the first time since April of 2016 when he was stopped by IBF, WBA and interim WBC Champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin, at the Forum in Inglewood, CA.
