At the 2300 Arena in South Philadelphia Friday night King’s Promotions feature’s an 8 bout card. In the Main Event Brandon “Brob” Robinson looks to extend his winning streak to 12. He will be taking on unbeaten Kalvin “Hot Sauce” Henderson over 10 rounds for the Universal Boxing Federation (UBF) Inter-Continental Super Middleweight Title.
Robinson, 11-1 (8), is from Upper Darby, near-by Philly who after dropping his debut bout has won 11 straight. Henderson is 10-0 (6), from Fayetteville, ARK. Robinson won the vacant UBF All America Title in December of 2017 defeating Philly’s Christopher Brooker, 12-4, over 8 rounds at the 2300 Arena.
In Robinson’s last bout in September he stopped Ghana’s Ernest Amuzu, 24-3, in 3 rounds. It was the first time Amuzu had been stopped. It will be Robinson’s fourth fight in 2018. Henderson also won by stoppage in September which was his third in his last four bouts.
In a pair of 6 round bouts Philly Super Welter Isaiah Wise, 6-2-1 (3), takes on Andy Gonzalez, 6-3 (5), of Worcester, MASS. In the other 6 Heavyweight Michael Polite Coffie, 5-0 (4), of Brooklyn, NY, takes on Juan Goode, 8-8 (6), of Taylor, MI.
In 4 rounder’s Heavyweight Paul “Machine” Koon, 3-0 (1), of Philly who was a former National Golden Gloves Runner-up, returns to action for the first time since February of 2015. He takes on Cade Rodriguez, 2-2 (2), of Monroe, GA.
Philly’s Super Bantamweight Romuel Cruz, 2-0-1 (1), takes on Hugo Rodriguez, 0-1, from Nuevo Leon, MEX. Lightweight James Bernadin, 2-0 (1), of Lancaster, PA, takes on Sheldon Deverteuil, 1-0-1 (0), of Brooklyn, NY.
Light Heavyweight Travis Toledo, 3-0 (2), of Baltimore, MD, takes on Ronnie Lawrence, 0-2, of Pottstown, PA. Super Lightweight Jerome Rodriguez, 7-11-3 (2), of Allentown, PA, takes on Luis Arcon, 3-0 (3), of Cochella, CA.
