The 2017 Elite Men’s World Championships in Hamburg, Germany are set to begin today.
Team USA will see three boxers step into the ring, Freudis Rojas Jr. (Las Vegas, Nev.), Duke Ragan (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Troy Isley (Alexandria, Va.) will begin their quest for gold.
Light welterweight Rojas will begin the competition against Norway’s Hadi Srour. Rojas is no stranger to the pressure of international competition having taken a part in last year’s Youth World Championships. Bantamweight Ragan must face powerhouse nation Cuba in his World Championship debut as he’s set to face Javier Ibanez Diaz on Friday evening. Middleweight Isley will close the opening day of action against Seyi Dieudonne of Cameroon.
The remaining two members, Delante Johnson (Cleveland, Ohio) and Quinton Randall (Katy, Texas) will open Saturday’s preliminary rounds for Team USA.

Tomorrow’s bouts will begin at 6:00 am MT for Rojas, while Isley and Ragan’s session will begin at 11:00 am MT.
