Just when you think “it can’t get any worse” Flores and Kovalev get fouled and lose by technical knockout? How does the Nevada Commission continue to hold these outrageous outcomes?

They have some of the worst referee’s and judges in boxing. Past referees Richard Steele, Joe Cortez and Mills Lane had some real bad nights but Robert Byrd who is as slow as molasses and as bias as they come is certainly not “color blind” either!

Why did the man in charge Executive Director Bob Bennett allow Robert Byrd in the discussion from the referee Vic Drakulich who called for a No Contest in the Rigondeaux-Flores bout? He gets outvoted 2-1 while Rigondeaux was holding Flores behind the head and delivering 3 punches to the head. Drakulich gets behind Flores instead of between both fighters. The commentary person said “BOTH boxers were throwing punches” but only when Flores got hit did his right arm go up in the air not from a thrown punch.

Take away the names Mayweather and McGregor and put in John Doe 49-0 vs Bill Smith 0-0 and what commission would ever approve of this? An exhibition would be one thing but McGregor hasn’t boxed since he was a youth. Bad enough Mayweather picked over the hill Andre Berto for his 49th fight but to follow-up with this disgrace should have 50-0* with an asterisk!

When Roy Jones, Jr. stopped Vyron Phillips a 33 year-old with 6 amateur bouts in Phoenix in March of 2016 approved by the Arizona commission it was a disgrace. Jones was 63-9 while Phillips was 0-0 having won a “contest” to fight Jones in a scheduled 6 round bout.

The ABC Commission should do their best to bar these types of fights by “money hungry” commissions. When does it stop before it only gets worse?
