Rodriguez Jr. ready to unleash “The Beast”
Undefeated welterweight sensation Juan “The Beast” Rodriguez (11-0, 5 KOs) is ready to make a splash on the national scene on tomorrow night at the Convention Center in Monroeville PA, when he faces Sammy “The Who Can Mexican” Vasquez (13-0, 9 KOs) in an eight round contest that will be televised live on Showtime. “It feels great that I am going to be able to show the world my skills on Showtime tomorrow night,” said Rodriquez. “It has been my training camp ever. I am prepared to put on a show for the world. I am bringing the excitement. That is why they call me ‘The Beast.’”
Juan’s Promoter Andre Kut discussed his thoughts on the big fight for the rising southpaw from Union City, New Jersey. “I think this is a chance for Juan to show what has made him a crowd favorite in New Jersey. Juan can box and bang, but he adjusts well to his opponent’s skills. Juan’s opponents have all come to fight. Few fighters want to fight Juan Rodriquez. We had fights cancelled because fighters just don’t want to take him on. When this fight was offered, Rodriguez jumped at the opportunity. Juan has taken the time to get in the best shape of his career and he will be ready for anything Vasquez brings to the ring on Friday night. Juan is an exciting fighter and should put on a great performance for the Showtime audience.”
“The time has given a chance to really polish my skills and I will shock the world. They kept me locked in a dungeon for almost a year,” said Rodriguez, who believes the extra training time has really allowed him to sharpen his skills and focus.
“Watch out! ‘The Beast’ will be unleashed tomorrow night.”
