Note: Before I commence, my mistake on last Saturday NC show results. Since, as I said, we missed the first three bouts, I incorrectly listed that Jon Bolden got stopped, BUT, it was HE who won in the first over
debuting Bandon Bowen (no S at end). SORRY for the misinformation. Now back to our regularly scheduled results. First up: 7-27-12:32 Resorts, A.C. Classic Sports and Entertainment (Jimmy Burchfield) go on
ESPN2. Six bout card that starts at 8:33 and goes into tomorrow (12: )

TK-Ray Ryan.
Ken “Mystery Man” Hissner, not only drives, but also buys me dinner!!! I pay for tolls and parking and, like Chuck Berry, “a dollar gas”.

From first to last: Comebacking Slim ISMAEL GARCIA, 154 1/2, Vineland.GOES TO 4-0 (I think)via TKo-1 (1:09), over slimmer Kenneth Moody Jr. 156 1/4, Norfolk, VA.
No KD’s. In a solid action bout, comebacking JOSH MERCADO, 142 1/4, Cape May, NJ, W-4 U ( 39-37, 39-36 twice) No KD’s; solid action KM hurt in second and fourth but hangs tough.

In a God-awful ten, FARAH ENNIS, 169, Phila., was made to look like a skilled craftman, as RICHARD PIERSON, 167 1/2, Paterson froze up in his version of an HBO moment. No KD’s, little, if ANY, action. Scores:
98-92 twice, 99-91. Me: A bit too generous to RP at 100-91 for FE. I wonder what Teddy Atlas would have said about RP?
In a NABF “world title fight” (as announced by Joe Antonucci), defender HANK LUNDY , 134 3/4, Phila. vs RAYMUNDO BELTRAN, 134 1/2, Los Mochis, MX. Result: RB pulls upset with a W-10M (96-94 twice; 95-95 (me
too).
HL looked sharp in one and two but gets whacked big time late in third. He changes plans and plays it safe in later sessions AND RB let’s him get away with it to keep it close.

ANTHONY YOUNG, 145 1/4, A.C. vs white boy RICHARD ANDREWS, 143 1/4,
Charlottsville, VA. RESULT: ay w-4m (38EA; 2 @ 39-37) No KD’s. Gritty makes AY look ordinary, but then again, maybe he is.

MIGUEL CARTIGENA, 114 1/2, Phila.; vs JOSE RIVERA, 116 1/4, Santa
Lucia, MX. RESULT: When JR people find out the wakout bout (it is now almost 12:30) has been cut fom a six to a four by the commission – t’s LATE! – they balk and refuse to box – even after the boxers ave been announced in the ring. The Fools lose money

7-28-12 Paramount Theatre in Huntington, N.Y. (north shore of Long
Island) New town # 368 for me.
Pro – Star Boxing (Joe DeGuardia). Time:
Chauffer up Marc “The King” Abrams and pickup

Nebbish” Hirsch for balance of trip. AND! I get to stay over The

Island.
