New Jersey Golden Gloves Releases Card for Open Class Finals

NEWARK – The New Jersey Golden Gloves announced the scheduled open-class card for the 2012 amatuer boxing finals, to be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 7 at the Prudential Center’s Ameriahealth Pavilion in Newark.

The following boxers have earned the right to compete for the NJ Golden Gloves’ state title and secure a spot on the state team:

201 lb. Mike Hilton of Trenton (2011 champ), representing Goss & Goss Boxing Club of Trenton vs. Ibn Akbar Richardson of Newark, representing Coliseum Gym of Irvington.

123 lb. Tyshawn Jones of Newark (2011 champ) vs. Kenyon Session of Newark in an intraclub match. Both represent Elite Heat Boxing Club of Newark.

132 lb. Anthony Bugin of Atco, representing Victory Boxing Club of Cherry Hill, vs. Felix Tejada of Union City, representing Union City Boxing Club.

141 lb. Rickey Edward of Paterson, representing Joe Grier Boxing Academy of Paterson vs. Hector Melendez of Hoboken, representing Union City BC.

152 lb. Shakor Jackson of Newark, representing Elite Heat BC, vs. Anthony Gangemi of Mine Hill (2011 champ), representing Dover Boxing Club.

165 lb. John Magda of Paterson, representing Ike & Randy’s Boxing Club, vs. Ian Green of Paterson, representing ISOB.

178 lb. Darryl Bunting of Asbury Park, representing Asbury Park Boxing Club, vs. Tyshan Murray of Elizabeth, representing Elizabeth Recreational Center.

201+ lb. Tyrell Wright of Jersey City, representing Bayonne PAL, vs. Dan Pasciolla of Brick Township, representing Asbury Park BC.
