1. Our Halloween show last weekend was a huge success. We had twelve exciting bouts consisting of Juniors, Seniors, Masters and both male and female. Many people including the entire Gleason’s staff were in costume. The icing on the cake was the appearance of three great World Champions: Iran Barkley, Mark Breland and Mike Tyson.
2. The Metropolitan Championships at Gleason’s Gym this Friday Night November 12, 2010, at 8:00 PM. Both quarterfinal and semifinal bouts will be contested. The Gym will close at 6:00 PM Friday night for working out. The weigh-in begins at 6:00 PM for the boxers.
The ticket price is $20 per person. Children 6 and under are not charged. All gym members and registered amateurs with their books in hand pay $15 per person.
3. Support Gleason’s newest Pros. Twins Dean and Scott Burrell will make their long awaited professional debuts on November 12th .
The show will be in North Bergen, NJ at Schuetzen Park starting at 7:30 PM.
Ticket prices are $100.00 for ringside and $45.00 for general admission.

We also have our own “Grass roots” hour every Tuesday from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM. This show is hosted by the great old-time trainer, Bob Jackson. The format includes gossip and interviews from Gleason’s Gym.
