Note to Ross Greenburg: Americans Still Want Heavyweight Boxing

There has been a mass exodus, they claim. According to HBO President Ross Greenburg and the executive powers at HBO, the American public is fed up with foreign fighters dominating what was once a US glory division and, as a result, they are fleeing the arenas. Apparently, the network is no longer interested in broadcasting the division’s top combatants. Furthermore, it is the Klitschko brothers, the two most dominating fighters in the Heavyweight division, that are receiving the bulk of the blame for the declining interest. However, this sentiment could not be more unreasonable as HBO continues to book a number of bouts outside of the division that are neither as exciting nor as interesting.
On Saturday, Wladimir Klitschko will battle Sam “The Nigerian Nightmare” Peter for the second time. It is a fight that will see delayed Sunday coverage in the US on ESPN as a result of HBO President Ross Greenburg
