The Venezualan Federal Police has confirmed that WBC Lightweight Champion Edwin Valero is dead. In the early morning hours of April 18th, Valero was arrested for the murder of his wife, Jennifer Carolina Viera. Today, at around 1:30 AM, another inmate in the police lock up alerted authorities that Valero had hanged himself in his cell. He was 28 years old.
