Yesterday was one of those rare, random days when the sports calendar gets completely overloaded. I expect sports overload at certain times of the year, such as Memorial Day Weekend (Baseball, Indy 500, Coke 600) and most of October (World Series, Boxing and NFL), and I plan accordingly. However, a random early spring weekend in April packed with great sports events is a pleasant surprise.

I decided not to go down to Atlantic City for the Miguel Cotto vs. Alfonso Gomez match, because I correctly thought it would be a gross mismatch. I almost went up north to Boston to attend Cappiello Boxing
