David Haye said that the first big punch he landed would force Enzo Maccarinelli to crumble. He was mostly correct.

Despite the Calzaghe family supporting Maccarinelli, the Wales resident could not stop the assault of Londoner Haye, and the bout was waved off at 2:04 of round 2. Haye landed a couple of good right hands, and he knocked Maccarinelli down. Maccarinelli stumbled to his feet and looked unsteady, so the fight was stopped.

The 27 year-old Haye moves to 21-1, 20 KO’s, and the 27 year-old Maccarinelli falls to 28-2, 21 KO’s.
