Local boxing fixture and friend of Brickcityboxing, Michael “Post” Gilmore recently was awarded the trophy for fight of the night at a battle of law enforcement officers. In the bout, Gilmore rocked his opponent several times with sharp left hooks, but was unable to put him away. A late flash knockdown cost Gillmore a close decision victory, there was no loser in this fight as both men laid it all on the line and were very deserving of the award for fight of the night.

Gilmore is a class act, he works for the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and also as an inspector for the New Jersey Boxing Commission and is a fixture in the local gyms often offering younger fighters advice on how to succeed both in and outside the ring.
