As many of you know, Korean fighter Doo Koo Kim lost his life in a bout with Ray Mancini in the early 80’s. Tonight, another Korean fighter might be in trouble, and we are turning our attention to this story.
WBO intercontinental flyweight Champ Yo Sam Choi fell unconscious and was rushed to surgery shortly after he won the match Tuesday on points against Heri Amol. The 33-year-old South Korean boxer was knocked down in the 12th and final round, but it was not known whether that caused his unconsciousness.
