Amateur Show This Saturday—–Plus… at Gleasons

The last amateur show of 2007 will take place this Saturday at Gleason’s Gym. The weigh in will begin at 5:00PM and the first bout will begin at 7:00PM sharp.

There will be something for everyone. We will have junior bouts, senior bouts, master bouts and female bouts. Some of the boxers will be getting their last tune up fight before the start of the 2008 Golden Gloves. Come see the future champions.

The admission price is: $20.00 general admission, $10.00 Gleason’s Gym members and $10.00 for registered amateurs. (The amateurs must have their 2007 or 2008 books with them)

The White Collar boxing show in London last week was a great success. We had five boxers and two corner persons. We also had friends that flew over to support the team.

The boxers were: Ken “Single Trouble” DeBerry (he scored the only KO of the evening), David “The King” Benjamin, David “The Heat” Mandel, Lisa Marie Bauch and Johannes “Bavarian Barbarian” Goepfert.

The Black Tie diner event took place in the Beautiful Porchester Hall. To give you an example of the magnitude of the event, one of the numerous items put up for Auction was a racehorse.

This past Saturday’s Classical/Chamber music and boxing event at Gleason’s Gym will be shown on MSG tomorrow night. The event was part four of our ongoing series. Each one gets better and better.
