Wolak Prevails on Long Island

By: Christopher Roche

North Arlington, NJ’s Pawel Wolak knocked out Daniel Lee Wallace last night on Long Island. Wolak, 17-0, 12 KO’s, will hopefully be stepping up after this bout, as there are many matches the local public is dying to see him in. The 25 year-old Wolak brings the pressure, and his hard-nosed style always gives the fans their money’s worth.

The Irish tandem of Alo Kelly and Henry Coyle had mixed results as Coyle knocked out his opponent and Kelly had a majority draw. For Coyle, 3-1, 3 KO’s, this was a bounce back fight, as he was stopped by Omar Bell in his last try. Kelly’s bout was a step up in class for him, as promoter Eddie McLoughlin looks to move the 29 year-old quicker than he moved John Duddy. McLoughlin recently cited Kelly’s age as the determining factor in stepping him up so soon. Kelly moved to 2-0-1, 1 KO.

Joseph Llovet, a featured fighter in the Brickcityboxing.com amateur boxing series, was successful in his debut.
