Today I had the honor to be at the press conference for the March 17th fight between 4-time heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield and New York heavyweight contender Vinny Maddalone. The fight is taking place in Corpus Christi, Texas and be aired on CN8. The card features a live undercard which includes heavyweight contender Calvin Brock in his first fight since getting stopped in November by heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitchko.

When I asked Evander Holyfield about Maddalone he said that he is not familiar with Maddalone and he will be getting tapes shortly. He also said he felt very good in the Fres Oquendo fight and he was proud with his performance because Oquendo is a difficult fighter to figure out and is very skillful.
