Roberto Duran, Emile Griffith, Vito Antuofermo, and Iran Barkley were among the 2,500 fans who packed their way into the Huntington Townhouse on Long Island Friday night to see a great night of local boxing.
The main event was reminiscent of old school boxing. Blood was not only on the faces of both fighters but the referee, ring card girls, and my scoring sheet. Super Welterweight Pawel Wolak earned a unanimous decision over Patrick Thompson. Both fighters elected to brawl which started a blood bath. Wolak came out on top landing most of the effective shots. Wolak won by scores of 78-74 twice and 79-73. Wolak improves to 12-0 with {7 KO
