The WBA & IBF’s Naoya Inoue of Japan looks to gain third world title in meeting WBO’s John Riel “Quadro Alas” Casimero of Philippines though April 25th in Las Vegas will probably be cancelled.
Naoya, 19-0 (16) has defended his WBA title twice and IBF once along with seven WBO World Super Fly titles and one WBC World Light Fly titles. The WBC World Bantam champ Nordine Oubaali, 17-0 (12), of France defeated Naoya’s previously unbeaten brother Takuma, 13-1, in November of 2018.
Naoya would like nothing better in defeating Casimero and avenging his brothers loss being one champion holding all four titles except IBO’s whom Michell “El Arsenel” Banquez, 19-1, of Venezuela won in July of 2019 but has yet defended it.
Casimero won his WBO title in November and has yet to defend it. He did hold the IBF World Fly title.
