TGP promotions – Tom Brown over Showtime Championship Boxing Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, home of the Brooklyn Boxing, in a Premier Boxing Championship event that features in the Main Event of former WBA, WBC Light Welterweight and WBC Welterweight Champion Danny “Swift” Garcia, of Philadelphia against Ivan “El Terrible” Redkach, of the Ukraine over 12 rounds.

In the co-feature Philly’s Stephen “Cool Boy Steph” Fulton who holds the IBO Super Bantamweight title is fighting Arnold “Ami” Khegai, of the Ukraine for the WBO Inter-Continental Super Bantamweight title over 12 rounds. So it’s Philly against Ukraine.

Garcia, 35-2 (21), is ranked No. 2 by the WBC and WBA while his opponent Redkach, 23-4-1 (18), is ranked No. 11 by the WBC. Fulton, 17-0 (8), is ranked No. 7 by WBA, No. 8 by WBO and No. 11 by the WBC. Kheai is ranked No. 2 by the WBO and No. 5 by the IBF.

Championship boxing starts at 9pm.

Garcia said “My mind was on a southpaw so when we couldn’t have the Errol Spence, Jr., fight I wanted the next toughest southpaw. We’re not looking past Redkach at all, but we wanted the southpaw work for that fight or a Pacquiao fight. We’ll be already when those fights come up.”

Redkach said “The biggest weakness in Danny is that he is not taking this seriously. He’s counting on this as a tune-up fight and that’s a big mistake. I’m going to knock him out. We’re going to leave it all in the ring and I’m going to come out victorious.”

Fulton said “I’m going to end his winning streak on Saturday. This is the first time I brought my weight down well ahead of a fight.”

Khegai said “Fulton is a good fighter but so am I. I believe I can land my power shots against Fulton.”

Also on the undercard is former IBF, WBA and IBO Super Welterweight champion Jarrett “Swift” Hurd, 23-1 (16), of Accokeek, MD, taking on Francisco “Chia” Santana, 25-7-1 (12), out of Santa Barbara, CA, over 10 rounds. There will be six other bouts on the undercard.
