WBO World Super Middleweight champion Mexican southpaw Gilbert “Zurdo” Ramirez, 37-0 (25), defends his title for the fourth time Saturday against No. 10 ranked Roamer Alexis Angulo, 23-0 (20), of Bogota, COL, on ESPN at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, OK. This is a Top Rank promotion.

It will be Ramirez’s third straight defense against an unbeaten opponent. Last September he defeated Philadelphia’s Jesse “Hollywood” Hart, then 22-0. Next in February of this year he stopped Habib “Wild Hurricane” Ahmed, of Ghana, then 25-0 stopping him in the 6th round. Now it’s the unbeaten Angulo 23-0.

“I want to give the fans a good fight, and I want to show I am the best fighter in the division,” said Ramirez. “I’ll give my best. I am sure the fans will be very happy with the fight. We’ve worked to take the title to Colombia. It’s been a long trip and a strong preparation, so taking the title home is the least we expect,” said Angulo.

The co-feature has unbeaten WBA-NABA USA Super Lightweight champion Mexican Alex “El Cholo” Saucedo, 27-0 (17), of Oklahoma City, OK, the No. 3 WBO and No. 2 WBA contender facing Australia’s Leonardo “Lenny Zappa” Zappavigna, 37-3 (27), in a super lightweight 10. For Zappavigna’s it will be his fifth fight in his last six fights in the US and he is ranked No. 8 in the WBO.

Welterweight Mike “Mile High” Alvarado, 38-4 (26), of Thornton, COL, takes on Martin Angel “El Arcangel” Martinez, 18-4-1 (11), of Sonora, MEX, over 10 rounds.

2016 Olympic Gold Medalist Robson Conceicao, Super Featherweight 7-0 (4), from Salvador, BRZ, takes on Ecuador’s Gavino “Huesitos” Guaman, 5-2 (1), out of River Falls, WI, over 8 rounds.

Welterweight Julian “Hammer Hands” Rodriguez, 16-0 (10), of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, takes on Alejandro “Bad Boy” Barboza, 11-2 (7), of Jalisco, MEX, over 8 rounds.

Heavyweight Trey Lippe “Morrison”, 14-0 (14), of Tulsa, OK, takes on Byron “The Bear” Polley, 30-22-1 (13), of St. Joseph, MO, over 8 rounds. Lippe is the son of Tommy Morrison.
