The state of Wyoming is having their second Bare Knuckle event in less than a month in the town of Gillette in the Camplex Central Pavilion that holds 1500 and is all but 100 tickets from being sold out.
This event will be promoted by Cory Williams, of Shoshoni, WY, this Saturday. Many refer to him as the “Godfather” of modern Bare Knuckle Combat, as he conducted a 3 year medical study to document its safety. He has a long history in promoting Bare Knuckle Fighting in Wyoming. He is finishing up his Law School Degree and the 39 year-old had a combined 99 professional bouts (in boxing, kick boxing and MMA) and 14 Bare Knuckle Fights. He is originally from Chicago, IL. This will be an 8 bout event.
Legendary matchmaker Don Elbaum is bringing in former WBA World Cruiserweight champion Robert “Preacherman” Daniels, 49-10-1, of Miami, FL, who happened to be the first Bare Knuckle boxing champion since John L. Sullivan per Elbaum. Daniels will be meeting Tyler Canning, of Lander, Wyoming, who has 21 boxing fights and unbeaten in Bare Knuckle.
“This is a huge opportunity for our local champion to make his mark in the world of combat sports, facing a 5 time world champion is a huge step up for Tyler Canning and the sport of Bare Knuckle” states Corey Williams.
Jon Scully will be a ring commentator along with JR Gordon from Sparta Combat League. Hall of Fame Cut-Man Joey Eye will make the PPV event. The fight can be seen at www.bareknucklefc.tv
