At the Microsoft Theater in L.A, CA, Saturday night over FOX former world champion Shawn “Showtime” Porter defeated previously unbeaten German Sebastian Formella over 12 rounds for WBC Silver welterweight title by Sampson Boxing – Sampson Lewkowicz and TGB – Tom Brown promotions.
In the Main Event former world welter champion Shawn “Showtime” Porter, 31-3-1 (17), of Las Vegas, NV, easily defeated Sebastian Formella, 22-1 (10), of Hamburg, Germany, over 12 rounds for the vacant WBC Silver title in a title eliminator.
After a close first round Porter completely dominated Formella the rest of the way. The referee was Jack Reiss.
Scores were 120-108 on all 3 scorecards and 119-109 by this writer.
In the co-feature super welterweight southpaw Sebastian “The Towering Inferno” Fundora, 15-0-1 (10), of Coachella, CA, stopped Nathaniel “Nate the Great” Gallimore, 21-5-1 (17), of Jamaica and Chicago, IL, at 1:28 of the sixth of a 10.
The 6:06 Fundora dominated Gallimore having him beat up for five rounds. In the sixth Fundora was all over Gallimore when referee Ray Corona wisely stepped in stopping the fight.
Twenty year-old middleweight Joey Spencer, 11-0 (8), scored knockdowns in the second and fourth rounds stopping Shawn West, 5-2 (3), of San Antonio, TX, at 1:21 of the fourth round in a 6.
Spencer dominated the fight. Referee Jerry Cantu called a halt in this mismatch.
“I believe he was a good fighter even after the knockdown he came back. I look forward to my next fight and want to thank my family for their support,” said Spencer.
