Matchroom Boxing – Eddie Hearn in the Main Event will bring former WBA and IBF Middleweight champion Danny “Miracle Man” Jacobs and former WBC World Middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr., in a Super Middleweight bout at Talking Stick Resort Arena, in Phoenix, AZ, on Friday over DAZN!
In a vacant World Flyweight match Julio “El Rey” Cesar Martinez Aguliar, 14-1 (11), of Mexico, takes on Cristofer “El Latigo” Rosales, 29-4 (20), of Nicaragua.
In the Main Event former WBA and IBF Middleweight champion now at Super Middleweight Danny “Miracle Man” Jacobs, 35-3 (29), out of Brooklyn, NY, taking on former WBC Middleweight champion Julio “J.C. Jr.” Cesar Chavez, Jr., 51-3-1 (33), out of Sinaola, MEX, over 12 rounds.
“It’s been amazing. I have been able to be genuinely happy, and to focus only on training, and only on my skillset and not on the idea of cutting 10-15 pounds before the weigh-in,” said Jacobs.
“This is the right fight to get me back to the top. It’s a big risk due to the activity he’s had, but I am not a stepping stone for him, I’m ready and need to win the fight and I know I have the skills and heart to win,” said Chavez.
In October of 2018 Jacobs defeated Sergiy Derevyanchenko, 12-0, by split decision for the vacant IBF World Middleweight title. That was the same opponent that recently gave a new title to former champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin possibly the hardest fight of his career. Then in May of 2019 Jacobs lost a close decision to Saul “Canelo” Alvarez.
Chavez came back in August of 2019 after over a year of inactivity at a career high 175 ¼, to score a KO in one over Evert Bravo, so he still has rust to get rid of.
Former WBA World Super Lightweight champion Maurice “Mighty Mo” Hooker, 26-1-3 (17), out of Dallas, TX, now WBC No. 10 ranked welterweight takes on Uriel “Bombardero” Perez, 19-4 (17), out of Queretaro, MEX, 10 rounds.

Welterweight southpaw 2016 Olympic Gold Medalist Daniyar “Kazakh Thunder” Yeleussinov, 8-0 (4), out of KAZ and Miami, FL, takes on Mexican Alan Sanchez, 20-4-1 (10), out of Fairfield, CA, 10 rounds.
