At the Olympia in Merseyside, Liverpool, UK, Friday over ESPN+ WBA World Super Middleweight champion Rocky Fielding in a non-title fight scored a sensational second round knockout over Abdallah “Dula Mbabe” Paziwapazi, at 2:58 of the round.
In a non-title fight WBA World Super Middleweight champion Rocky Fielding, 28-2 (16), #177, of Warrington, Cheshire, UK, knocked out Abdallah “Dula Mbabe” Paziwapazi, 26-7-1 (23), #172, of Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania, at 2:58 of the second round.
In the first round they felt each other out. In the second round Paziwapazi had Fielding against the ropes for over two minutes of the round. Fielding fought his way off the ropes only to be against the ropes on the other side of the ring. Paziwapazi was on the attack when Fielding suddenly landed a four-punch combination to the body and the last punch a left hook on the chin knocked Paziwapazi down. He tried beating the count but didn’t quite make it with referee Steve Gray waving the fight off.
In the co-feature Super Middleweight Martin Murray, 39-5-1 (17), #171, of St. Helens, Merseyside, UK, won every round in defeating Sladan Janjanin, 27-5 (21), #166, of Prijedor, Bosnia & Herzegovina, over 8 rounds.
Former WBO World Lightweight champion southpaw Terry “Turbo” Flanagan, 36-2 (14), #138, of Manchester, Lancashire, UK, defeated Jayro “Cadejo” Duran, 14-7 (13), #136, of San Pedro Sua, Honduras, over 8 rounds.
Flanagan was cut above the left eyebrow in the 5th round.
