Kings Promotion’s Marshall Kauffman comes back to the former Sands now the Wind Creek Hotel & Casino in Bethlehem, PA, Saturday night! The Main Event will have No. 15 WBA ranked Super Lightweight Mykal “The Professor” Fox taking on Dominican Eudy “AK47” Bernardo in a 10 round bout at the Events Center.
At a press conference Thursday southpaw Fox, 20-1 (5), of Upper Marlboro, MD, said “I learned a lot in my first defeat two fights ago but was able to come back and defeat an Olympic Gold Medalist.” His opponent Bernardo doesn’t speak English so Rick Muhammad handled his saying “I am in shape and look forward to this main event!”
Also in attendance were Kauffman’s partner Andrew Foy, all-around assistant Cathy Lebron who will be at the entrance table handling press credentials, Marc Abrams, public relations, and ring announcer Mark Fratto who was the MC.
The co-feature will have Super Welterweight southpaw Erik Spring, 13-2-2 (2), of Reading, PA, who is 3-0 at the Bethlehem site. He will be taking on Courtney Pennington, 12-4-3 (5), of Brownsville, NY, over 8 rounds. Super Welter Nicholas Hernandez, 9-4-1 (2), of Reading, PA, takes on southpaw Terrance Williams, 5-3-1 (1), of York, PA, over 8 rounds.
In 6 round bouts Welter Rasheed Johnson, 6-2 (2), of Willow Grove, PA, takes on Kashon Hutchinson, 5-5- (1), of Reading, PA. Feather Martino “Titan” Jules, 6-0 (0), of Bethlehem, PA, takes on Michael Stoute, 3-1 (1), of Long Island, NY, and former NY GG champion. Bantam Jonathan “Quick” Torres, 5-0 (1), of PR and Bethlehem, PA, takes on Kaylin Waites, 1-3, of Dallas, TX.
Opening the event will be Super Middleweight Khainell Wheeler, 2-0 (2), of Bethlehem, PA, taking on Juan Celin Zapata, 6-15-2, (4), of Honduras and the Bronx, NY, over 4 rounds. In two other 4’s Middleweight Brent Oren, 1-1 (0), of Harrisburg, PA, takes on Brandon Mullins, 5-0 (2), of Newark, DE, and Bantam Jose Lopez, 0-1-1, of NY, takes on Jerrod Miner, 1-6-2 (1), of Philadelphia, PA.
Doors open at 5:30 and first bout will be at 6:45pm.
