At Tony Luke’s in South Philadelphia Thursday there was a press conference that went wild thanks to former Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Lenny “Nails” Dykstra who will be taking on Chris “Angry Bagel Guy” Morgan Saturday September 28th at the Showboat Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The man behind this as always was Damon Feldman. The promoters were Tina David of Red Carpet Experience in a beautiful pink gown and the co-promoter is Martino Signs.
Dykstra came in looking tough while Morgan, 45, was very calm to start but taking it all seriously. Dykstra at 52 wasn’t looking in fighting shape slumped over. Feldman always has major news outlets watching these events with an appearance on the Howard Stern show. Hank Flynn of Channel 29 asking most of the questions and stating it will be shown on the 10pm News.
Dykstra was very foul mouthed throughout the entire press conference telling Morgan to “stand up” which at 5:00 he was standing. Both were trading remarks while Dykstra tried striking at Morgan in a faceoff with Feldman in between them.
Feldman introduced many that covered the parking area like Mike Wilson a pro wrestler who will be on the show. Dwayne Fletcher will also be on the undercard, a nephew of PAB HOF Frank “The Animal” Fletcher. Also introduced former professional boxer and gym owner Gray’s Ferry section of Philadelphia and a police officer “Irish” Mike Rafferty, 9-1 (4) from 1993 to 2002.
Dykstra left the area and suddenly turned back running toward Morgan jumping upon several tables and sliding into Morgan as if he was going for a line drive in the outfield. The big man from Juggernaut Security grabbed Dykstra and shoved him toward the exit.
Never a dull moment with Dykstra around and he said “I promise to punish you for two rounds and take you out in the third and final round in order to humiliate you”. Morgan shot back with “I will stick and move like you never saw before!” This promises to be an action celebrity bout on September 28th at the Showboat in Atlantic City!
