If either of these two end early Philly’s top prospect since 1984 in Meldrick Taylor in a 10 round bout is the return of welterweight Jaron “Boots” Ennis, 22-0 (20), after eleven months of inactivity. “I’ve been in the gym,” said Ennis. His father-teacher will also have southpaw heavyweight Izim Izbaki, 1-0 (1), from KAZ on undercard.
Shishkin, 8-0 with 5 knockouts, now 167, defended his WBA Continental title back in October of 2018 in Russia stopping Nadjib Mohammedi, 40-6, in the tenth round. In July he won that title knocking out Gasan Gasanov, 15-6-1, in Russia.
DeAndre Ware, 13-1-2 with 8 knockouts, now 168, in February of 2019 won a majority decision in ten rounds over Ronald Ellis, 16-0-2, in Rochester, NY, for the WBC Continental Americas title. In September of 2018 he lost for the first time to Clem Kilic, 11-0, over eight rounds. In June he won a majority decision over Enrique Collazo, 11-0-1, over eight rounds.
In February Ergashev, 16-0 with 14 knockouts, now 140, defeated Mykal Fox, 19-0, over ten rounds in Kansas. Ramirez 24-4-1 (22), now 141, in December of 2018 defeated Michael Perez, 25-2-2, stopping him in eight rounds. In his last bout he lost an eight round decision to Javier Molina, 18-2, in March.
An 8 round Super Bantamweight bout between Ukranian Arnold “Arni” Khegai, 122, 15-0-1 (10), out of Philadelphia, and southpaw Vladimir Tiknonov, 123, 17-1 (10), of St. Petersburg, Russia, on the undercard.
