Thailand’s WBC Minimum World champion Chaphon Moonsri won his 51st straight fight, all in his home country of Thailand on Tuesday. He defeated his No. 6 contender southpaw Pedro “Rattle Snake” Taduran, now 12-2 (9), of Metro Manila, in the Philippines at the Nakhon Sawan in Thailand.
The scores were Humberto Morales of Mexico at 117-110, Steve Morrow of California at 118-110 and Malcolm Bulner of Australia at 115-111. The referee was Stephan Blea of Colorado. The WBC Supervisor was Frank Hadley of Australia.
Moonsri won his title in November of 2014. This was the tenth title defense. He has defeated opponents from the tenth to the first from the Philippines, Panama, Japan, Australia, Philippines, Mexico, Japan, South Korea, Philippines, Philippines and winning the title from one from Japan.
What’s the chances of Floyd “Money” Mayweather not making “another comeback?” Let’s hope it’s not against another amateur like Conor McGregor.
