Republican candidate and billionaire Donald Trump was inducted into the NJHOF on November 12th 2015 in Garfield, NJ. Trump is a big boxing fan and held at least four of the eight events that Mike Tyson headlined prior to becoming world heavyweight champion. He was involved in at least three Atlantic City title bouts for Tyson. In 2013 Trump was inducted into the WWE HOF. Also in 2013 he was inducted into the NJ Martial Arts HOF as a visionary.
Tyson and a long list of athletes and celebrities have endorsed Trump. “Donald Trump should be inducted into the NJHOF,” said Tyson. Other athletes are Mike Ditka, John Daly, Tom Brady, Dennis Rodman, Herschel Walker, Terrell Owens, Latrell Sprewell and Bobby Knight.
Among non-athletic celebrities are NJ Governor Chris Christie, Stephen Baldwin, Gary Busey, Lou Ferrigno (Hulk), Hulk Hogan, Ted Nugent, Wayne Newton, Willie Robertson (Duck Dynasty), former MN governor Jesse Ventura, Charlie Sheen, Trump’s former wife Ivana, Kid Rock, Loretta Lynn, Paula Jones and Sheriff Joe Arpaio of AZ.
Media people such as Ann Coulter, Pat Buchanan, Alex Jones, Michael Savage and Phyliss Schlafy are included.
“He had a debate on the West Coast two days before our affair and then he had a few rally’s. He did send a representative from the Republican Party and did make a donation,” said Henry Hascup (President of the NJ HOF)
