Sixth Edition of NBC Sports Network’s Fight Night
NEW YORK – December 5, 2012 – NBC Sports Network continues its Fight Night series, Friday night at 10 p.m. ET with a main event featuring Bryant Jennings (15-0, 7 KO’s) of Philadelphia, Pa. vs. Bowie Tupou (22-2, 16 KO’s) of Las Vegas, Nev., at Temple University’s Pearson and McGonigle Halls in Philadelphia, Pa.
USBA Heavyweight Champion Jennings, undefeated and ranked fifth in the world, takes on Tupou in a 12-round fight and a voluntary defense of his USBA heavyweight title. Earlier this year, Jennings won the very first Fight Night main event on NBC Sports Network, in a bout against Maurice Byarm. Since that time he has gone on to win NBC Sports Network Fight Night bouts against former heavyweight champion Sergei Liakhovich and Steve Collins.
In the co-feature, Eric Hunter (16-2, 9 KO’s) of Philadelphia, Pa. steps in to the ring against undefeated Jerry Belmontes (17-0, 5 KO’s) of Corpus Christi, Texas., in a 10-round junior lightweight fight.
Kenny Rice will serve as the play-by-play commentator for the telecast, and will be joined by cruiserweight contender B.J. Flores. Chris Mannix will serve as the ringside reporter for each telecast.

About Fight Night: NBC Sports Network’s Fight Night series is collaboration between NBC Sports Group, Main Events and Hall of Fame matchmaker J Russell Peltz. The series premiered on January 21, 2012 and will feature a total of seven original telecasts in the calendar year.
Earlier this year, NBC Sports Group and Main Events agreed to renew the series for the 2013-2014 season. Starting in 2013, the series will feature six original telecasts on the NBC Sports Network and up to two broadcasts on NBC.

Pearson/McGonigle Halls, a 4,500-seat venue at Temple University located at 1800 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19121. It has hosted both professional and amateur boxing in the past, but when NBC Sports Network broadcasts the sixth installment of its Fight Night series on Dec. 8, it will be the first professional boxing event held at Pearson/McGonigle Halls in over 19 years.
Nine bouts are planned for the Philadelphia card. The fight is promoted by Main Events, Peltz Boxing, and Goossen Tutor Promotions in association with BAM Boxing.
