Jose Rosario and Dan Doyle of the New Jersey Golden Gloves put on a fantastic night of boxing at AmeriHealth Pavilion at the Prudential Center in the Brick City, Newark New Jersey. It is a nice venue for boxing in a good location which has been used in the past by Main Events when Zab Judah won his most recent world title.
In the 165 pound open final match, John Magda won fighter of the night in a fight that everyone was talking about after he stopped Ian green of Paterson in the 3rd round. In another highly anticipated match in the 152 pound open final, Mine Hill’s Anthony Gangemi defeated Newark’s own, Shakor Jackson in a good fight that many people ringside could have went either way between two men who will both make good professionals.
Notables in Attendance: HBO’s Harold Lederman, Undefeated Welterweight, Alex “The Brick City Bullet” Perez and Golden Boy, Michael Angelo “The Artist” Perez, Jerson Ravelo (who is coming off of an impressive victory over Joey Spina), Bo James, Bobby Rooney and all of the great local coaches and fighters were out in the masses.
