PHILADELPHIA (March 21, 2010) – The red and white colors of Poland will proudly be on display in Philadelphia on April 1 when undefeated Polish boxers Patrick “The Machine” Majewski and Kamil Laszczyk return to action in separate bouts at the Asylum Arena as part of KEA Boxing’s “Unfinished Business” card.
Majewski, a 31-year-old middleweight with a record of 15-0 (10 KO), of Atlantic City, NJ by way of Radom, Poland bears a striking resemblance in appearance and fighting style to Polish national boxing icon Tomasz Adamek. Majewski’s most recent performance – a final round knockout of Eddie Caminero in December of last year – came on an Adamek undercard, which further bolstered Majewski’s growing popularity with boxing fans.
Though this will be Majewski’s first professional match in Philadelphia, he is a former two-time 165-pound Philadelphia Golden Gloves champion. Majewski is trained by Bill Johnson, who trained his son Leavander Johnson to the world lightweight championship. His fight is scheduled for six rounds.
In a four-round super featherweight bout, Kamil Laszczyk of North Bergen, NJ by way of Wroclaw, Poland is looking to build upon his 2-0 (2 KO) record with another win. Laszczyk, who won six Polish National championships as an amateur, turned pro last month and scored back to back second round knockouts in New York.
The opponents of Majewski and Laszczyk will be announced shortly. Both boxers are promoted by Global Boxing Promotions.
