IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, 53-3, 47 KO’s scored a tenth round TKO over previously unbeaten WBA heavyweight champion, Ruslan Chagaev, 25-1-1, 17 KO’s on Saturday night in front of 60,000+ at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
As an American fight fan, the fight I want to see is Wlad vs. Chris Arreola. The fact that a heavyweight unification bout was on ESPN classic at 5 pm in the USA, and especially the fact that no one knew or cared is CRAZY!
Pernell Whitaker is now the trainer for undefeated Paul Spadafora, 41-0-1 who is making a comeback. If the fighter and trainer can both get along and stay out of trouble, that is a perfect match. Looking forward to seeing Spadafora back in action.
Andre Ward “S. O. G.” 19-0, 12 KO’s has showed me what he is made of before, but never like he did in his domination of Edison Miranda. Ward can do it all and will be a force to be reckoned with in the division.
Congrats to New Jersey’s Freddy Curiel, who put on a crowd pleasing performance on Friday night.
