Post Fight Thoughts on Hatton v. Malignaggi

Ricky Hatton is the best 140 pound fighter in the world. Paulie looked good defensively; he has a great chin and recovers quickly so he was able to stay on his feet despite getting tagged by Hatton a few times in the fight. The question that has to be asked in this fight is… What happened to the right hand and any kind of combinations from Malignaggi? Some little Sugar Ray flurries in a couple of the early rounds could have stolen them. A two handed Paulie would have definitely won a few rounds and that would have meant it still would have been a fight late, and Buddy would not have stopped the fight. Regardless that did not appear to be a good stoppage. Threatening to stop it was a good move in the corner, to let Paulie know how bad it was
