THE CONTENDER SEASON 3 STARTS TONIGHT AT 10 PM ON ESPN

FEATURING LYNDHURST NEW JERSEY’S WAYNE JOHNSEN!

By: Danny Serratelli

Wayne Johnsen turned professional with little amateur experience back in 2003 in Massachusetts. Almost a year later he made the trip back home to New Jersey to make his Garden state debut on a KEA boxing card. Wayne stopped his opponent that night in the second round of a fight that was technically in the cruiserweight division (he fought at 180 pounds).

Wayne has done nothing but hard work since that time, working long days and mixing in training to fight and fighting. He has worked his way down from as high as 180, to as low as 161 in his last fight on the Cotto-Judah card at Madison Square Garden. The world will have their chance to see Johnsen as “The Contender” season 3 begins tonight on ESPN at 10pm.

Johnsen has worked his way up in boxing the old fashioned way and has built an impressive record of 16-1, 9 KO’s. New Jersey’s “Waniac’s” are eager to see Wayne make his televised debut on “The Contender” and look forward to seeing him back in the ring soon.
