IBF light welterweight champion, Paulie “The Magic Man” Malignaggi, 25-1, 5 KO’s was on hand in Brooklyn at the Santa Rosalia feast this evening signing autographs and greeting fans. The annual feast that takes place every year in late August/early September on 18th street and runs approximately 10 blocks was packed with fans of Brooklyn’s newest champion (Malignaggi dominated Lovemore Ndou in June to capture the title).
Fans had the opportunity to talk to the champ, check out his new championship belt, take pictures, and pick up some nice autographed photos. Paulie is expecting to defend his title before the end of the year against an opponent to be announced. Another Brooklyn product, undefeated lightweight, Nicky DeMarco also stopped by to meet and greet the fans and support his friend Paulie. Nicky, who has picked up his 2 knockout wins on KEA boxing shows in New Jersey is tenatively scheduled to return to the ring in October.
