Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin took the trip from New York to Sandy, Utah, and he apparently wanted to catch the red eye home.
Quillin crushed former Mexican Olympian Jose Humberto Corral with a devastating series of uppercuts and body shots. Even though Corral came in over the middleweight limit, and the bout was moved to super middleweight, the 159.5lb Quillin still overpowered the heavier Corral.
Quillin, 24, knocked Corral down with an uppercut and Corral took the full ten count. Quillin improved to 14-0, 12 KO’s, while Corral dropped to 10-6, 7 KO’s. The time of the knockout was 1:38 of round one.
