“Fast” Fres Oquendo put himself back in the Heavyweight picture by outboxing Elieser Castillo over 10 rounds to win by scores of: 99-91, 98-92, 97-93. 3-1 betting odds favorite Oquendo, 28-4, 17 KO’s, used his jab and busy punch output to dictate the action from the outset. Castillo, 29-6-2, 16 KO’s, had Oquendo hurt in the final round but was unable to follow up as Fres clinched and survived to end the fight. Elieser was slashed and bleeding from accidental headbutts over both eyes but kept coming forward throughout. Castillo was loading up on his punches looking to land his bombs but never used a jab to work his way in and it cost him.
Underrated Jr. Middlweight beast Eromesele”Bad Boy” Albert forced Daniel ” The Hatian Sensation” Edouard to retire on his stool via 7th round KO after laying a controlled ass whipping on Daniel. Edouard, 18-2-2, 10 KO’s had his moments early and was game throughout but became fatigued from Albert’s relentless pressure after 5 rounds. Once Albert sensed weakness in his opponent he stepped up the pace and started to dish out a beating. Eromesele, 21-1, 10 KO’s, looked very sharp and is a force to be reckoned with in the 154 Lb. division, possibly becoming a top 10 fighter after this fight. Albert is TV friendly making exciting fights by throwing droves of punches from bell to bell with tight fundamentals.
