Every four years, the stakes at the USA Boxing National Championships are raised to a new level. A good showing in the Nationals can guarantee a young fighter a slot in the USA Olympic Team Box-Off. A berth on the USA Olympic Team is a life-altering honor, and the young amateurs are competing hard to represent our nation.
The New York and New Jersey area has several participants competing in the Nationals in Colorado Springs, CO. Former boxer and trainer Angel Concepcion is on the ground in Colorado Springs, and he is keeping brickcityboxing.com abreast of the results, as they happen. So far, New York and New Jersey are both doing very well.
