Paulie Malignaggi will be fighting Lightweight slugger Edner Cherry on February 17th. The fight will be featured on Boxing After Dark. This will be Malignaggi’s first fight since dropping a unanimous decision to Miguel Cotto in June. The event is set to take place at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. Edner Cherry, who has never faught above 135, agreed to meet Malignaggi at 139 pounds. Sechew Powell is scheduled to be on the undercard of the event. His opponent has not yet been named but rumors are circulating that he may be fighting The Contender
